Summer House, Woodville Road , London W5
This summer house design, located in a conservation area in Ealing, London, received planning approval from both Ealing Council and the Conservation Committee. The brief from the clients was to create a versatile space that could serve as a home office, yoga studio, and a peaceful retreat during the summer months. The design emphasizes a careful use of wood and glass, framing beautiful views of the lush garden while preserving the positioning of existing trees. A standout feature is the multifunctional joinery, which transforms from an office desk into a mini kitchenette, with side shelves that cleverly conceal a hidden door leading to a toilet. This project successfully blends practicality, elegance, and respect for the environment.
